First off hope everyone had a fun Halloween! We sure did! Kev, Zach, Kim, and I got all dressed up and went out to Toby Keith's restaurant for a Halloween party. Kev and I were a 1920's gangster couple, and Zach and Kim were 80's style tennis players.

My sister Tayler and cousin Adam both turned 18! I can't believe they are adults. Seems like only yesterday they were 3 years old playing beauty salon, which was really Tayler forcing Adam to sit still while she shave his hair off. Now they are both off to college, it's just crazy!

We had a party for them at my Grandma's house, my camera died so I never actually got a good pic of just them...but here are the rest of us!

Vegas Baby! Kev, Wes, Meg, and I went to Las Vegas last weekend! We had SO MUCH FUN! We stayed at the Venetian, it was the most beautiful hotel! Our first morning out and about:

Okay, okay, so we really didn't meet any REAL celebrities...but we sure had fun at the Wax Museum!!!

Saturday night we ate dinner at Emeril Lagasse's restaurant "Delmonico". It was fabulous!

After dinner Kevin and I went to a cirque du soleil show "O", a water show at the Belagio. The show was absolutely fantastic, and our seats could not have been better, center stage almost close enough to get splashed on! Anyone planning on going to Vegas I definitely recommend this show, it is a must see!

Family, Friends, Fireworks!!!

Although we don't make it up to Heber as much as we would like to, no matter what, we ALWAYS come up for 4th of July! It's so great to spend time with family, enjoy the parade, park, and fireworks, and the greatest part of all....the weather!!! It was so wonderful to get out of the heat!

Our day started off with an amazing breakfast cooked by Megan, and then we were off to watch the parade! It was as good as always!

After a day of playing, eating, and napping we went over to the high school to watch the fireworks! Of course we got there a few hours early so we could get a good spot on the field...So I took some pics to pass the time:

I pray that you stay independent, a leader, strong willed, dedicated, and beautiful on the inside as you are you out, as these are the things that I admire most about you. Thursday Kevin and his Dad flew to Ohio to visit with family and he doesn't get home till Monday evening...So I knew I needed to keep myself really busy so I didn't just sit around and wait for Monday to come. Friday and Saturday my Mom, and her friends Aurora and Annette, and I did a girls weekend at the J W Marriott at Desert Ridge. We had so much fun relaxing by the amazing pool...and of course shopping! Sunday, my mom and I headed up to Roosevelt Lake. Waiting for us was my Dad and my sisters!!! Family fun at the lake!

I found out something new about my mom this weekend...She rocks at knee boarding! She just went out there got up the first try, and then started doing 360's!!! She was spinning and jumping all over the place...and I couldn't even get up!!! haha

Connie treated the 8 of us girls to a musical called "Girl's Night Out". We started the day by having an awesome lunch at Buca Di Beppo then walked over to the theatre for the musical. It was such a fun musical! It was a great girls day!!!

After we left my Grandma's house we were off to Anthem to spend time with Kev's side of the family. There we ended our day with an AMAZING dinner Connie and Dave prepared for us. Kev's Aunt Tracy, Uncle Paul, and cousin Lucinda we here visiting from California, it was so good to see them! Not only did Connie prepare dinner, she also prepared an Easter egg hunt! I can't tell you how long it's been since i've done that, but I have to say it was dang fun!!! After dinner all us kids went to the park and played 500 with a frisbee....nothing like being a kid again!!!

Home Update...

First off, let me introduce you to one of our neighbors...meet Hank! He lives next door, and never fails to greet me every morning before I leave for work. Anyways on to house projects:

Alot of the projects we have been working on have been outside and garage projects. Kev is creating his dream garage (he definitely has the space! 5 car garage.) We started off with white walls covered in dirty shelves, so Kevin ripped them all out and re-painted the walls yellow or "Lions Mane" to be exact. Now he is working on building his own cabinets, and is doing a fantastic job! They are not finished, but it sure is a great start!!!

Kevin and his Dad have been busy planting shrubs around the house, we also put in some different citrus trees..

Here is a small portion of the back yard, we are going be be planting grass where it steps up and there is a little fire pit up there as well. (Great for roasting marshmallows!) We have many more things we are working on right now, i'll keep ya posted!

Suns Rock!!! Connie, Megan, Sarah, and I went to the Suns vs. Clippers game, we had awesome seats and had an amazing time!!!!

We left for Sedona on Friday, Kev had a job he had to be at in the morning so we decided to stay for the weekend!

We stopped at this store called "Clear creek trading company" This was the most INSANE store I have EVER been in! Ok, so I understand when stores sell animal sculls and antlers.....BUT this did NOT only sell those things...This store had all kind of animal parts, but not just the bones, dead turtle shells, hundreds of different animal teeth, turkey tails, bear faces, beaver pelts, and MUCH more....

My Birthday was on January 28th! Big 22! Kevin took me to one of my favorite restaurants and then to Cold Stone for some dessert!! YUM YUM...I have been wanting an elliptical machine for a long time, so my sweet man ordered it for me!!! (See pic below!)

We had everyone over for a super bowl party. Although we lost we still had a good time hanging out and eating!

Saturday Kev and I drove out to Fountain Hills for my Grandma's surprise birthday party! She will be 60 January 27Th. She was SO surprised when she walked in the door and just busted out in tears! My little sister was with my Grandparents for the weekend so my mom and I decided to have a girls night out just the two of us. We went to the Ocean Club in Scottsdale. It was really nice and the food was amazing! We had such a great time!!!!!

This year for Christmas shopping we decided to spice things up a bit. So Connie, Sarah, Megan, and I packed up the Honda and headed to Palm Springs, CA. We literally shopped till we dropped! We had so much fun and found the best deals! We got there on Friday shopped a little bit and headed to this cute little Mexican restaurant by our hotel. They had awesome food, and we even got serenaded through most of our meal....Although we couldn't understand what they were singing we still tried to sing along.

Late Christmas Post

Well it's kinda late, but I hope everyone had an wonderful Christmas! Kevin was working Christmas Eve, so I met up with my Dad and did some shopping, then headed to Fountain Hills to see my Mom and Sisters and open gifts. Christmas morning we slept in, then I made a big Christmas breakfast and we opened up our gifts from each other. After that we headed over to the Camp's house to celebrate Christmas with Kev's whole family! Connie and Dave made us an AMAZING Christmas dinner! It was so good to see Aunt's, Uncle's, and Cousin's that live out of state!!! Here are some of us girls: Kara, Meg, Me, Sarah, and little Lucinda! Kev and I got some awesome gifts from both our parents! Thanks Mom's and Dad's for everything!!!!

So here is the color we chose...looks very blue in the picture, but is actually like a greenish blue...So we got most of the painting done but are not quite done all the way. I'll post the finished product when we are finished!!! Also I need to give a shout out to Meg! Thanks for coming and helping us paint! Oh and also running to costco! hehe

So Friday Connie, Megan, Sarah, and I went to see Twilight! I have heard people have had mixed feelings on the movie, but I have to say I loved it! It was exactly what I pictured in my head, all the characters were perfect. I would even go see it again! The only bad thing now is we have a long wait for the second movie to come out! Dang, aww well....I encourage everyone who hasn't seen it to go, especially if you read all the books. I want to know what everyone else thought!

When we moved, we left our washer and dryer in our old house for the renter's to use. So that means we have been without a washer and dryer for a week! It took us a while because we weren't sure what kind we wanted, but last night we installed our new washer and dryer! Thank goodness, if we waited any longer to get them I would have been hauling clothes over to Megan and Wes's house! lol...Anyways my favorite thing about them is when they are done they play a fun little song. Kevin makes fun of me when I dance along with the music! lol

Trip to the Zoo!

Last weekend my Mom, Alex, April, Jake, and I went to the Phoenix Zoo! The kids had a blast seeing all of the different animals, and even getting to pet some! Jake wouldn't get very close though, as you can see....

New Home Info.

Work is pretty slow right now, so I decided to blog about the new house! It's located in Desert Hills, which is about 8 miles east of where we live now. It's 3 bedroom, 3 bath, HUGE living room, and 5 car garage. It also has a gigantic fireplace, that I am SO excited to hang stocking's on!!! So everything isn't set in stone yet, we are still getting the paperwork and inspections done. Actually, Kevin is there right now with the termite inspector. So hopefully we close on it really soon so we can start moving in! Our mission this weekend is to get a lot of stuff packed up. So that's my update for now. Have a good Thursday everyone!

Weekend Update

Saturday: I woke up early and headed over to Megan's house and we went to a community garage sale. We had a lot of fun, and got some good stuff. Then we were off to Zach and Kim's house to watch the ASU game. Although Kim and I mostly played cards while the guys screamed at the tv. Then we went to RA for some awesome sushi!!!

Sunday: While Kevin cleaned out the garage, I went to Scottsdale Fashion Square to meet up with my Mom, Sisters, and Aunt. Then it was home for a nice nap, lol.

Monday: So I didn't have to work today because of Columbus Day, lol. Not really sure anyone else had off work, but i'll take it! Anyways, I spent most of the day packing up the house because we are MOVING!!! We just got everything finalized and we are moving into a new house! We are really excited about it, i'll post pictures as soon as we get settled in. So after I got bored of packing I decided to do a little Halloween decorating! So that was my fun filled weekend. I hope everyone had a great one as well!

Saturday night we went to the ASU vs UNLV football game. Sadly, we played really bad and lost. All these pictures were taken before we started losing, so everyone is very happy, then we took a turn for the worst. The guys took the loss pretty bad. So here is a pic of Zach, Kim, Unknown, Kevin, and me! lol, This woman talked to Kevin and Zach the WHOLE game. She knew NOTHING about football. She was only there because her daughter is a cheerleader. She was very nice, but insisted being in a couple of our pictures, lol.

I was like, yeah he's with me. lol! She was so embarrassed and kinda star struck at the same time! It was so funny, I guess I never thought of it but he kinda does...lol

So we were up in Heber this weekend and we got to visit with my Dad and Tayler, but sadly did not get to see my Mom and Alex because they were in Fountain Hills at the condo. On our way down we swung in and picked up Alex so she could spend the night at our house. Sunday Alex helped me grocery shop, then we took a dip in the pool. That night Kevin took us on a date to PF Changs! It was soooo good, Kevin taught Alex how to use chop sticks! We had a blast so much fun! After dinner was bath time for Alex and after I made Root beer floats for us!! YUM YUM

So for the very first time, in a year of living in my home, I stayed ALONE Thursday night. Kevin had gone up to Heber with his dad Thursday morning, and I was leaving Friday with his Mom. So yes, I am a HUGE baby, but it was very very sad staying all by myself. After I turned all the lights on in the house, and locked and checked the doors and windows about 5 times. I packed my stuff for the weekend, talked on the phone with Tayler for a while, and took advantage being alone and watched girly movies that Kevin hates...So, I am not looking forward to do that anytime soon!

Friday night Me, Kevin, Zach, and Kim went up on the Rim to camp for the weekend. I wasn't so sure if I was the camping kind of girl, but it turns out, I kinda am! Although I missed indoor plumbing, we had cooked awesome food, hiked, and the best part...roasted ALOT of marshmallows!

So when we got there Friday night we couldn't wait to start up a roaring fire...uh, DID NOT happen...lol. Although Kevin and Zach tried so so hard to start a fire, it was pitch black outside and all we had was SOAKING wet wood to work with. So this is our fire Saturday night. Now this is what I call roaring!!!

We had a friend come and visit with us for a little bit...

So you can't see (Kevin apparently doesn't have the best photography skills) but this log acted like a bridge, it was pretty far down to the ground..I thought I was pretty brave as you can see, lol.

Today is Kevin's Birthday! He is 23. So this morning I gave him his Birthday present( Just a gift card , in a Napoleon Dynamite card that talked, lol) , and he was off to work. Father's Day Weekend

Happy Fathers Day Dad!!! This is my Dad, Bret Shawn Hagan. My dad has 4 loves: My Mom, Me, Tayler, and Alex. For the past 21 years he has been there through the: Barbie dolls, makeup, killed every bug with a mile of us, unclogged the blond hair from the vacuum, he has learned how to blow dry, braid, and curl hair, and has every line and song in "The little Mermaid" memorized. He has always been there for us, I love him so much.

Kevin and I had a blast hanging out with my family all weekend. After dinner Sat. night we hung out at the house, playing games, and watching movies.

Saturday Kim, Zach, Kevin, and I went to the Kenny Chesney "Poets and Pirates" concert at the Glendale Arena! We got to see Gary Allen, Sammy Hagar, Keith Urban, and Kenny Chesney perform! It was awesome seeing them perform in person. Well kinda in person, we were pretty high up, lol.

What do you get when you stuff 300 over dressed girls, 4 gay guys, and 3 projector malfunctions in a capacity filled theatre?

The release of Sex and the City, opening night!!! Kim and I have been waiting for this movie to come out since the last episode aired 3 years ago. So we could not pass up the chance to go opening night even if it meant sitting in the theatre an hour before the movie even started, just to get good seats! It was well worth it! Oh, and what were the boys doing in the mean time??? Watching Indiana Jones of course!

Thursday, Kevin and I went to our friends Tanner, Phil, and Brandon's Air Force Commissioning. It was so awesome seeing all there hard work and dedication finally pay off. All three are Pilots. We got to go celebrate with them and there families, it was so nice to meet everyone they were all so sweet.

1. Soaking up the sun! I love living in Arizona and being able to relax after work by floating in the pool getting some sun.

1. Ok, so this is kinda lame but I am so afraid of the dark! Every night I have to race up the stairs to turn the bedroom light on, because Kevin likes to shut all the lights off in the house to scare me...
2. I really hate bugs, anything creepy crawly.
3. I am not to fond of flying in airplanes. Although I feel very safe with my dad in his plane, flying commercial freaks me out! We flew to Cali. last year and my 4 year old sister was holding my hand telling me it was ok! lol

1. Someday I will want to be married and have kids, I hope to be a great Wife and Mother.
2. Spend more time with my family, they live a few hours away which makes it hard to find time to go see them.
3. Lately I have been running, but I am really not that great. So I would love to be able to run at least a few miles without stopping.

1. Decorating, I am OBSESSED with decorating my house, I am constantly looking for something else to decorate.
2. I am non-stop looking up recipes! I love cooking for Kevin, and I try and make different things all the time.

Stuffed Chicken Parmesan

So I found this recipe on kraftfoods.com, it turned out awesome!! It looks so fancy and yet so simple to make. Kevin loved it! Oh, also I used broccoli instead of spinach and Italian bread crumbs instead of Ritz crackers. I served it on a bed of pasta. You got to try this!

Prep Time:35 min
Total Time:1 hr 5 min
Makes:6 servings
4 oz. (1/2 of 8-oz. pkg.) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened
1 pkg. (10 oz.) frozen chopped spinach, thawed, well drained
1-1/4 cups KRAFT Shredded Low-Moisture Part-Skim Mozzarella Cheese, divided
6 Tbsp. KRAFT 100% Grated Parmesan Cheese, divided
6 small boneless skinless chicken breast halves (1-1/2 lb.), pounded to 1/4-inch thickness
1 egg
10 RITZ Crackers, crushed (about 1/2 cup)
1-1/2 cups spaghetti sauce, heated
PREHEAT oven to 375ºF. Mix cream cheese, spinach, 1 cup of the mozzarella cheese and 3 Tbsp. of the Parmesan cheese until well blended; spread evenly onto chicken breasts. Starting at one of the short ends of each breast, roll up chicken tightly. Secure with wooden toothpicks, if desired. Set aside.
BEAT egg in shallow bowl or pie plate. Mix remaining 3 Tbsp. Parmesan cheese and the cracker crumbs in separate shallow bowl or pie plate. Dip chicken bundles in egg, then roll in crumb mixture. Place, seam-sides down, in 13x9-inch baking dish sprayed with cooking spray.
BAKE 30 min. or until chicken is cooked through (165ºF). Remove and discard toothpicks, if using. Serve topped with the spaghetti sauce and remaining 1/4 cup mozzarella cheese.

So I really wanted a new hutch to go in our foyer, but everything I looked at was a couple hundred dollars. And well what can I say sometimes I can be cheap, so Kevin and I went to Goodwill and found this hutch for $10!!! Can you believe it? So we brought it home sanded it and painted it black! I think it turned out great, and it was a fun little project.
